Our Reviewing Strategies 

Afer you fill the reqiired fields and submit your abstract, it will then be allocated to the Scientific Committee members immediately via the online platform. You should then receive the notification of acceptance/rejection once it is reviewed, the delay depends on the reviewers’ availability. We highly advise submitting as soon as possible in order to get a chance to be reviewed on time.
If you submit your abstract before the early bird submission deadline and pay before the early bird registration deadline, you will benefit of our better prices.

Guidelines for Abstract Submission

  • Abstracts submitted to the conference should be written in English only.
  • Abstracts should be submitted as per the template available above.
  • Authors can submit their abstracts in Doc, Docx and Pdf format.
  • Any act of plagiarism is totally unacceptable.
  • Each abstract should be strictly within 1 page in length, contains about 250 words.
  • The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission.
  • Along with abstract, recent head-shot photograph of good resolution and short biography (up to 100 words) must be included.
  • Oral or Poster presentation should be nominated while submitting the abstract.
  • The abstract submission can be made via conference website or by emailing the abstract to official conference email address.
  • Submissions not meeting these guidelines risk rejection without consideration of their merits.
  • Notification of acceptance or rejection of the Scientific Committee will be given after a week of submission.
  • All accepted abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings book and will be distributed to all the conference attendees at the registration desk on the day of the conference.

Guidelines for Oral Speakers

  • Keynote presentation: Keynote speakers will be allotted 20~25 minutes to present their results, followed by a 5 minutes discussion period.
  • Regular Contributed talks: Authors of contributed talks will be allotted 15~20 minutes to present their results, followed by a 3 minutes discussion period.
  • Students Oral talks: Authors of students oral talks will be allotted 12 minutes to present their results, followed by a 3 minute discussion period.
  • Speakers should bring their presentations to the conference saved on a USB memory stick.
  • It is suggested that you email a copy of your presentation to your personal inbox as a backup. If for some reason the files can’t be accessed from your flash drive, you will be able to download them to the computer from your email.
  • Please prepare the presentation in PPT files, PDF is not recommended.
  • Please refer to the program page of the official website for your session and presentation information.
  • Basic AV setup will be provided: laser pointer, cordless mike, desktop mike, basic sound system.
  • Laptops equipped with Windows 10, Office 2010 Pro English (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) and Adobe Reader are provided.
  • If your presentation files contain movies, please make sure that they are well formatted and connected to the main files.
  • Projectors are equipped with standard VGA connection ports. Mac users should bring their own adapter cord.
  • Please re-check this program prior to the conference to confirm if any changes have been made to your session.

 

Guidelines for Poster Presenters

Presenting a poster provides you with the opportunity to engage with other attendees, share your research, and start conversations that may lead to future collaborations. Your poster enables you to discuss very specific aspects if your work.

  • Maximum poster size is 1 meter wide by 1 meter high.
  • Push pins for attaching the poster to the board will be provided.
  • Poster presenters will be directed to the designated board at the start of the poster session.
  • Author must be present to provide details and answer questions during the selected poster session times.
  • The poster session schedule, which is developed by the session theme chair, will be emailed to all registrants the week prior to the conference.

Q1. How to apply to attend Materials Europe 2021?

One can attend the conference as into two categories:

  • Presenter: Kindly proceed to submit your research abstract; if the Scientific Committee accepts it then the author can proceed for the registration.
  • Delegate/Listener: If you are willing to attend as an Listener, you can proceed to register directly as a listener without submitting any abstract.
Q2. Is it possible to submit an abstract even after the early bird submission deadline?

Yes, you can submit your abstract until the regular submission deadline or contact us for immediate assistance.

Q3. Are there any chance of my abstract being accepted if I submit before the early bird submission deadline?

No, the Scientific Committee members do not take into account this criterion when reviewing the abstracts.

Q4. Is it possible to submit more than one abstract for presentation ?

Yes, contact us if there are more than 3 abstracts for scheduling.

Q5. So, how to submit an abstract?

Kindly go through the submission form above and fill required star* fields, choose the track/topic of your research and type of presentation, upload your Abstract in Word/Pdf format and hit the submit button!.

Q6. Are there any guidelines for the abstract submission?

We request all our presenters to submit the abstract as per our requested format. the Abstract format can be downloaded above the submission form.

Q7. Is there any mandatory information to be mentioned in the abstract?

Yes, every abstract should have the Title, abstract content, authors (names, email id’s university details & contact details with a short biography), presentation type (workshop, oral, poster or virtual Video), related topic(s).

The abstracts will not be validated without the above information. 

Q8. What type of related topics should be included in the abstract?

Kindly refer the conference topics/tracks/sub-tracks/sessions that are the closest to the content of your abstract. It is important to choose the accurate related topic(s) because the abstract will be sent to the reviewers who are experts in the selected keyword(s).

Q9. What are the reviewing criteria?

All abstracts are reviewed based on:

The Technical Merit: How solid is the presented work? Is the evaluation methodology appropriate? Does the data seem accurate? Are there any fatal flaws in underlying assumptions?

The Readability: How easy is it to understand the submission? Factors that can affect readability include writing style, grammar, spelling, over-use (or under-use in some cases) of equations, inappropriate submission length, or improper font sizes.

The Relevance: How appropriate is this submission for this conference? Sometimes even good submissions are better suited to other locations.

Q10. Which kind of abstracts could be accepted for workshop presentation?

The presented work should be particularly original, unpublished, considered as of great interest for the scientific research and present novel perspectives.

Q11. Does it increase the chances of acceptance if the abstract is submitted for poster rather than oral or workshop presentation?

Yes, oral and workshop presentations are more competitive. But, if an abstract is submitted for oral or workshop presentation and the Scientific Committee decides that the work is more suitable for poster presentation then the author would have the opportunity to register and do a poster presentation.

Q12. How to be sure that the submission is validated and ready to be reviewed?

The submission is validated and ready to be reviewed once all mandatory information (above mentioned) are filled correctly. Make sure all the star fields are filled. 

Q13. How to know whether an abstract is accepted or not?

Once the Scientific Committee has reviewed the abstract, the Organizing Committee or the organizer sends an email to inform the author about the result. If the abstract is accepted then the author receives an “Acceptance Letter”. 

Q14. How to benefit from the early bird rate?

The submissions and registrations should be made before the early bird submission date and pay the registration fees before the early bird registration date.

Q15. Is it mandatory to submit the full paper?

No

Q16. Is it possible to get an invitation letter for VISA request?

Yes, the invitation letter will only be sent once the conference registration is completed.

Q17. Is it possible to attend the conference without submitting any Abstract?

Yes, you can register an Delegate/listener.

Q18. Does the conference organizers/Organization provide their participants with any kind of grant?

No, the conference budget does not allow providing any grant. 

Q19. Does the conference organizer provide proof of attendance?

Yes, the conference organizers will provide a certificate of participation and the payment invoice as required by your university / institute to allocate the grants.

Q20. Do the conference organizers Provides any accommodation?

Yes, you can book upto three nights by registering under our packages A/B and we will take care of your accommmodation. To book more than three night, kindly email our confernece organizers.
